Milk and Cookies, Anyone?

I love shooting cheesecake with Tiffany K. (Tkexpressions). We shot this set for Cupcake Provocateur. This is her Betty Style apron in "Naughty & Nice." I brought my cigarette girl tray to make a play at a Milk and Cookie girl. Since Tiffany's pup Nala had a hat of her own, we decided to put her a couple of shots. She wasn't too pleased with the hat, as you can see in the photo above. :P

Barns and Blood

Due to location shooting (and cold weather!), I have plenty of experience in quick shoots. I think this one was about 10 minutes long. Evan and I were racing the sun to find an old barn that suited my fancy for this guerilla-style shoot. I guess it wasn't exactly guerilla-style though as Evan did ask the owner for permission once we landed at this farmhouse, but as it was cold and we didn't tell the ninety-year-old couple that I'd be using prop blood and a large knife, we tried to wrap it up quickly. ;)

This was the first time I shot with Evan Smith. We did this in August. I really wanted to eat that kielbasa until we poured gasoline on it. And then I still kind of wanted to anyway because the scent of gasoline is oh so delicious to me. (I didn't though. I swear.) :P

Vinyl, Bondage, and Burlesque

It's been a while since I've made an update, mostly because my website is getting close to relaunching and I've been saving updates for that. I'm really excited for this launch as it has been months since I've had a proper site, and I have plenty of work to share. My webmistress is working hard in her spare time, and I really appreciate this. She is a friend of mine and amazingly talented. :)

Onto the photos...I recently shot with Damsel In Distress Video Productions again for some bondage teasers. The above photo is in a vinyl catsuit, bound with tape and plastic wrap. We also shot some sticky glue fetish stuff in the same ensemble. :)

This past weekend was my one year anniversary of performing burlesque at the Atomic Trash shows (and in general!). The ladies of Atomic Trash deserve mega props for all the hard work they do to make these shows a success. I am seriously amazed by them, and I think all of Portland, ME should be thankful that we have a regular burlesque performance in our fine city thanks to these talented ladies. :)

This last show was called "America the Boobiful," and being celebrated on America's birthday, the theme was patriotic. As such, I decided to celebrate one of my literary heroes: Hunter S. Thompson. I wonder how he'd feel about it...

I also performed a piece as a Lewd Lady Liberty. My bff helped with the costume, and poor Mr. Good had to deal with my last minute stress and the "repeat" button. He was even darling enough to massage my hands and feet (without me even asking!) while I bathed post-show.

After the show we danced outside of Geno's and me, Kate Tush, and Mink Diamonds took it to the street. :)

This past Saturday I attended Portland's first annual Rockabilly Rampage. I was originally supposed to be performing at the event, but the owner's of the venue decided that they rather have nothing to do with burlesque. As unfortunate as it was, I still enjoyed myself. Good music, good company. I sold issues of the new Retro Lovely Magazine, and got some jive and swing lessons from a couple different partners. I'm excited to get more practice. :)

It was a good weekend.

Legs, Honey, Smoking

The July 2010 issue of Leg Show Magazine is now on stands, so I suggest picking up a copy at the nearest porn distributor near you. ;) *HINT* Portland, ME: Video Expo on Congress St. carries this magazine. ;) I have six full pages in this issue shot by the fabulous Viva Van Story with wardrobe provided by my favorite lingerie brand Cameo Intimates. The sample shot here is much tamer than the next four pages in the feature. Go pick up a copy and let me know what you think. ;)

The above two photos were shot this past Tuesday with Tiffany K (tkexpressions) in good ol' Portland, ME. Tiffany traveled up here to break in my new apartment, and before she had to leave (once the rain stopped coming down) we went down by the ocean to shoot a Casablanca inspired photo.

I taped a video clip of me smoking my cigar by the sea, which will go live on my clips4sale later today (for all you smoking fetishists).

Graduation and this past Weekend

I graduated 2 weekends ago. Since then things have been a bit of a whirlwind. Actually, things have been a bit of a whirlwind these past two months, from Vegas to now. The weekend before finals, I had a marathon session with MyBigHairDay. She came to Maine to style me in 3 different looks for Tom Couture, fully armed with hairspray, makeup, and vintage purses. I don't have images back yet from that adventure because Mr. Couture left for Vegas soon after, but soon I'll share the results of this on-the-spot creative collaboration. After late night pizza, Sarah and I passed out, only to wake early the next morning for part 2. She prepped my hair and after a pit stop for coffee, we were on our way to Manchester to shoot 3 looks with Dastardly Dave: a hat for Hey Sailor! complemented by some of my vintage underthings, an intergalactic inspired set in blue vinyl lingerie for Cameo Intimates, and ending with a sweet and sticky treat, after a few shots in a pair of rose pasties for Gothfox, I drizzled myself in honey. Still feeling a little sticky, I brought Sarah to the bus station and drove back to Portland solo. It was late. I was going to attempt to read at least some of the material that had been building up over the course of the semester in preparation for my last two finals the next day, but I was unable to keep my eyes open. So early the next morning I played my favorite game of "Let's see how well I can do on this exam without having done any of the reading assignments this semester." And then I played it again a few hours later.

To my great surprise, when I picked up my robe that Friday, I was congratulated for graduating with honors: magna cum laude, and given a blue cord to wear with my robe. This was good, because most of my family does not know about me modeling or performing burlesque, so now it would seem that I was a good academically-inclined student without any distractions when in fact it's been quite the opposite, having placed school at the bottom of my priorities and pursuing more fun artistic endeavors instead. I just checked my grades, and despite this semester being the worst semester I've ever had in terms of slacking, I came out with 3 A's and an A-. It's strange that I would be so concerned with my grades coming out well when I hadn't put any effort into it, but I had been checking multiple times a day to see if grades were posted. I guess I'm a bizarre breed of slacker.

This past weekend, as soon as I got out of work, I hopped on a bus to Boston and flew to Philly to shoot with Corwin Prescott and his infamous fox. Joseph Balestra lived in the apartment below, so he came up and I shot with him after experiencing my very first Philly cheesesteak. The next morning I returned to the airport and flew down to Dallas, where I shot with Trent Sherrill, Miss Missy, and Dynamite Dames. I'm super excited about all the images I shot with these fabulous artists. I got home on Tuesday, just in time for my work-week. I guess I'll get to the pictures now.

Viva Las Vegas, Bizarre, Tkexpressions, and a lollipop

Last weekend was the bimonthly burlesque show at Geno's. I performed a number to "Lollipop" by the Chordettes, which I think I'll do again when I perform at a rockabilly show on July 3rd (more details soon!). I'm super excited for a number I'm creating for the next Atomic Trash presents...which is on July 4th. It's always a good idea to follow up the fireworks with some boobs, no?

I was delighted to discover that I was selected one of the top picks for Bizarre's Cover Competition, mostly because Adam Sutherland said such nice things about me. :)

I had a marathon shoot with Tiffany this month. Here's a shot we did for Black Cat Bikinis (www.blackcatbikinis.com). I love the ruched rear. ;) I'm really excited to see the other sets we did. I love working with her. :)

And now we come to the Vegas shots. I can't believe it's been almost a month! Vegas was a blast, but far too fleeting. Above are a couple of shots Mike Basso took of me at the car show. I'm wearing an outfit by Miss Hussy. Her work is fabulous and I'm honored I got to walk for her in the fashion show.

If you look closely, you can see my cooch. ;) I shot Cameo Intimates' open-crotch pantyhose last month with Dastardly Dave. Brian James did my super sparkly makeup and Ruby Leigh did my hair for this set.

On the set for the shoot I did for the Black Cat Bikini swimsuit (seen in the last entry), I noticed this work shirt had the name "Glamulus" embroidered on it, so Matthew Robbins and I decided it had to be shot...with some tough girl diva attitude, of course.

It is advisable to steer clear of sketchy men pushing hotel dollies in a narrow hallway when you're wearing nothing but your underthings. You might be snatched and bound and rolled about. This shot was by One Stop Pinup when I was in DC last month.

A toast to my fallen comrade. This shot was taken in the fall by Michael Leach for The Costume Company. Makeup by Katie Bouchard. I really really need to collaborate with her and JL Oliver, though the process of everything lining up perfectly has proven difficult.

I like going topless in pantyhose. I'm sure you've noticed this theme. Here's another shot for a set I did with Tom Couture for Hey Sailor! Hats and Cameo Intimates. I am in love with this set, which everyone will be able to see eventually at zivity.com. It is called "Lovebeads" because of the amazing lovebead pantyhose I'm wearing by Cameo Intimates.

Another photo spree. Things have been a little crazy on my end. Because of working during the nights and classes during the day, I've been getting only 1-3 hours of sleep 3 days a week. It will be over soon though, and worth it in the end. Sometimes a lack of sleep can do something good for creativity. Here is a set we did for Black Cat Bikinis, who I highly recommend for amazing swimwear. She does amazing things. I was really impressed with how well everything fits and looks. I have another suit by her that I'm shooting with Tiffany next Friday.

Sparkle Poo

I shot with the wonderful RedRum Collaboration this past Monday. Above is a phone pic Cara Crass (the stylist who got me the amazing latex dress I'm wearing by Veritee Hill) took of Sarah fixing that hat to my head. I thought it would be neat to show a behind-the-scenes shot as well as an edit from the shoot, so...here's an edit:

My hand is in the way in both shots, but you can sort of see the amazing latex flower detailing on the corset in the phone shot. This dress was intense. Studs, flowers, chains! Cara Crass made the matching hat. This was my first time wearing latex. I thought my skin would be too sensitive to rock it, but alas, it was a success. :) RedRum Collaboration popped my latex cherry, and now I'm looking forward to doing more and more.

These photos were shot within the last two weeks and are displayed in chronological order. I've been rather busy... :P

I started the 2 week shoot spree off by showing off my sweet ride with Darkside. We even took it to outer space, because that's how we roll.

The night before I left for DC, I went to Tom Couture's place to shoot a hat for Hey Sailor! Hats and some Love Bead Pantyhose for Cameo Intimates. We turned this into a set for zivity, so look out for it! We then played chatroulette where Tom traumatized innocent (and not-so-innocent) cammers with his man-titties, and I wore a digital pig mask.

George picked me up at the Baltimore airport the next morning and we headed to a set of 50's style houses to do some shooting for GirdleBound. There are a few different sets to keep an eye on their site for. ;)

I checked into my hotel room and got ready for my shoot with Michael Bann. We only had a little while to shoot before Deanna from One Stop Pinup was scheduled to shoot with me, but we got some good stuff in that short period. There will be a 2 page spread in Retro Lovely Magazine featuring the images from this set.

Michael left and I did a few different looks with Deanna and her boyfriend/partner-in-crime Rick. Right before they left, they wrapped me up in a duct tape dress and slathered lube all over me...for pictures...

I returned home and didn't exactly settle back into boring school life. Then a couple days passed and it was time for more shooting. I traveled down to Manchester to shoot with Dastardly Dave. I'm modeling some new pasties by Gothfox Designs in this image. Yay copper. :) Brian James did my makeup for this shot.

And then on Sunday I adventured with mister Matthew Robbins. We shot in this old service elevator, did some studio stuff, and then shot with some vintage motorcycles at his friend's shop. I'm really really looking forward to an upcoming shoot we're planning. :)

It's been busy lately. I'm shooting with TKExpressions today and RedRum Collaboration on Monday. Lots of fun stuff. If only I could get my homework to feel this fun... :P

Wickedly Wild Burlesque

Here are some photos from the Valentine's Day burlesque show at Geno's. This was the first show with a running theatrical storyline throughout. I played "Jolene Wayback," the town mattress who steals everyone's men. In my "Whiskey Bar" piece, I mistake Atomic Trash for two dashing gents and attempt to seduce and get busy with them...only to discover they are women...that I have stolen men from!

"Oh help me hide, innocent members of the audience, before Atomic Trash kills me!"

I skip town, feeling rather lonely in my "Crazy in Love" piece, where I show how much I miss the feeling of a lover...or two...or three...

VLV, Jami Deadly, and some other excitement

I just had to come and write a blurb about this because I can hardly contain my excitement. Back story: young girl stumbles across a beautiful curvy Marilyn impersonator on the internet known as Jami Deadly. This young girl is super pleased to see a real woman, a woman with curves, making it in the modeling world. Now at this time, the girl is unaware of a whole modern pinup movement. Jami Deadly is responsible for opening that beautiful door for her, and within a couple years, this girl decides to take her own curves and take a stab at it herself.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that Jami Deadly is a hero of mine and the reason I'm so excited is because I just got the final model list from Miss Hussy Clothing for the VLV Vintage Fashion show...and she's on it, which means...I'm going to be on the same modeling team as the lady who opened my eyes to the whole modern pinup culture!

In addition to my Jami excitement, I'm thrilled to be representing both Miss Hussy Clothing and Cameo Intimates Lingerie in the Viva Las Vegas Vintage Fashion Show taking place on Friday April 2nd. :)

Here's an ad I did for Sourpuss Clothing when I was in NYC in December. Luigi Ciorra took the photo. He's a great guy, and I had a ton of fun shooting with him. We took some other fun shots, one of which will be appearing in a book, but that's all I can say at the moment.

In non-modeling news, I submitted my application for graduation today. Hooray! I just hope I can make it through these last few months. I can't wait to be done. Of course I say that now, but I know as soon as I don't have school in my life anymore, I'll be wanting to take more classes. That's just the way I am.

Speaking of school...I have a bunch of stuff I need to be working on right now. It's time for some script memorization and mythology.

Reflections on 2009

These photos were shot by Tom Couture. I did my hair and makeup. Other photos from this set can be seen in issue 10 of Bachelor Pad Magazine. I liked the wallpaper in this kitchen and decided it must be shot. This house used to belong to a foot fetish producer I've worked with, so it only seems fitting to be leg-focused.

2009 had a terrible start. I was depressed for the first couple of months due to this terrible event, and then I started to get back into modeling and fetish gigs. Artistic outlets are a sort of therapy. I transferred all my energy into it. I traveled. I partied. I had fun. My soul somewhat repaired itself. I believe everything happens for a reason. You can find the good in hindsight. This summer the part of me that had bandaids half-heartedly stuck-on became filled with happiness. It's still hard sometimes, but only for reasons that are temporary, and this temporary pain is totally worth it.

I'm sorry for being so vague.

There was the build, and there was the magnificent turn. Is it all just the power of thinking? I find myself feeling rather blissful in even this dreary cold that drives many to seasonal depression. Despite my tardiness with several assignments, I made the Dean's List this semester. The internship I did for Portland Magazine came through with two published stories in the latest issue. I was also published in issue 38 of Ol' Skool Rodz and (as mentioned above) issue 10 of Bachelor Pad Magazine, which both came out in December. I have met many amazing people, some who have even affected me on a spiritual level with their positive vibes. I have worked with many amazing photographers, hair stylists, makeup artists, and designers.

So much good has come into my life. I am truly blessed to have the friends I have, to have the family I have, to have the love I have in my life.

The only bad thing since the turn has been my job situation. Funding in the mental health field just keeps getting worse. The agency has downsized significantly just this year. Christmas always brings more layoffs. I've been lucky to get 1 shift a week as of late. I guess that's the balance in things. There has to be something to remind you to appreciate what you have--something on the negative side to help you appreciate the positive even more. The job thing is tricky. It's my last semester, my classes are more spread out and all over the place than usual because I decided to take the classes I wanted to take rather than choosing classes in relation to the times of the other ones I'm taking for the sake of minimizing the days I travel in. This semester, my schedule is scattered which will make for a difficult time in job scheduling. I need weekends free for travel and to see my mister. Perhaps a job that only requires every other weekend... *wishful thinking*

Anyway, enough of my wandering thoughts...the point of this entry is that 2009 was overall an awesome year and I'm hoping it will only get better in 2010.

Robert Williams

I've had the incredible luck of being sick for weeks. I was just starting to feel better before my trip to DC, but then I worked at a unit with a child who had confirmed swine flu, and after I landed in DC, my throat started to hurt. Dehydration, I thought. Planes always dry me out. It wasn't too long after I checked into my hotel that I had to turn the temperature up to 90 because I was freezing with a sweatshirt on. My muscles went on strike. My head imploded. I spent 80% of my trip sleeping. Thank you, flu. I'm still recovering.

I watched Platinum Blonde yesterday, and was completely taken by Robert Williams. Something about his quirks and confidence. Unfortunately he died just four days after Platinum Blonde was released. I was really looking forward to seeing all the other roles he might have played, but he never had the chance to play them. If no one sees it, it's like it never even happened. It's an unfortunate truth. Of course you'd like to think that it's the feelings that matter, right? The memories? Our minds need reminders since they have no rewinders. Recording our histories is not a loss of the soul, it's a preservation of it. In George Orwell's 1984, it wasn't the death so much that was scary, it was the idea that they could make it so that you never even existed. Robert Williams existed. And he might be dead now, but in a way, he's still alive, because art is immortality.

Goat Farm Shoot with Darkside Photography

I have one week until my burlesque performance at Geno's. I still have a lot to get done before then, so perhaps this lack of hours is a good thing at the moment. Either way, my tuition is due and I have some things I bought that didn't fit me properly, so I'm selling them. These cat eye glasses are really lovely. They currently have bifocal lenses in them, but you can pop them out to put your own prescriptive (or non-prescriptive lenses) in. The first pair is in really good shape, besides the discoloration of the bands. The second pair is missing a couple of rhinestones on the bands. I have no set price for either of these, so make me an offer. ;)

I bought this corset from VersAtelier.com (formerly Versatile Corsets) because I needed it for a costume. I discovered afterward that I'm actually a size smaller than I had been told by a different corsetry, but VersAtelier has a two week return policy, and I missed the date. As I spent $158 on a corset I can't wear, I figured I'd try to sell it highly discounted to someone who could get some use out of it. You can see the original here. This corset is unworn (only tried it on once), and I'm asking $99 for it. That's a HUGE discount. Plus, I'll throw in some random bonuses (unless you ask me not to). Oh, yeah...and it's a size 24. There are measuring instructions on the site, which I should have just followed. :P

I had my debut burlesque performance at the end of June, the night before I flew down to Florida with my family. Tom Couture was in attendance with his trusty camera to capture some action shots. so if you were unfortunate enough to miss the dirty debauchery, here's a tiny taste.

Fear and Loathing in San Francisco

I've watched "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" so many times now that I feel a sort of comradeship with the characters. This is partly due to the fact that I'm typically alone during these viewings, so inserting myself into their adventure is not so difficult. It's only a screen that separates us, really. I feel connected to Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo in the way that people feel connected to their favorite band or sportsman, and maybe that's fucked up, but that's the way it is. They are my security blanket. My tribute set to the book, film, and Dr. Thompson will be going live soon on Deviant Nation. Exactly a year ago I would have had just finished my own savage journey through Las Vegas, and Curtis Joe Walker captured part of it in photo form. I'm quite excited for it to finally be revealed for the viewing pleasure of anyone curious enough to look. It's hard to top it, I think. I have another important tribute set to shoot, and I feel it requires Mr. Walker's quirkiness and ability to capture it the way that I want. I look forward to that adventure.

Back in February I shot with a photographer by the name of Nathaniel Goldstock. He took these pictures for me, but never edited them, so now you get to see some raw, unedited pictures. Thrilling, eh?

I just shot two sets for DN with Destroy Inc. My queue will be depleted once "Fear and Loathing" goes live. Realizing this just recently (this past week), I'm in a bit of a hurry to shoot new material, but I need to get the ideas flowing.

This strange week in San Francisco, between dancing in a bank vault and vintage lingerie shopping, has been hill and valley territory, a parade of ups and downs in the fizzle of violet wand play and POV photography. Soon enough the masks will fall at a masquerade. You find this out when you decide to stay. It should be common knowledge, of course, but we like to dream in ideals. It's easy to get lost between fantasy and reality when your mind has a natural inclination to be optimistic, and mine does, for the most part.

Tonight is the Marquis Fetish Ball: new territory. I'm going in with no expectations, just a whirlpool bullet bustier and backseam stockings. I want to add more vintage content to my collection. Anyone have any "junk" they could spare? Let me rock it.

Long Overdue

It's been forever since I've updated this wee little piece of cyberspace, but now that more of an accessible outlet exists, I will update on a regular basis. This will be a place to look for additional photos (real life or professional) so that I don't have to hassle my webmistress too often.

Recently I went on a vacation with my family to Walt Disney World in Florida. As horridly hot as it was, it was still a good time. I really appreciate the moments I get to spend with my family.

My favorite WDW park is Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm a thrill seeker, and it has the best rides, as well as the best atmosphere: classic Hollywood. When it's not too crowded, you can hear the drums and horns of the big band greats while walking down Sunset Boulevard toward the frozen elegance of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Disney is magical. :)

We got back on the 5th, and on the 6th I got on a bus to go to NJ for my shoot with Viva Van Story. She's such a doll, as is the MUA: Anna DeMeo and the Hairstylist: Erica of PinMeUp Hair. I had a lot of fun shooting with them, though I barely got any sleep on that trip. I'll show some photos soon, I hope. I got home on Wednesday, unpacked, slept, woke up Thursday morning, did laundry, started packing, visited Zach, worked all night, drove home, finished packing, and got on a plane headed for San Francisco. If you haven't flown Virgin America, I highly recommend it. ;) I decided to upgrade to their Main Cabin Select, which basically felt like first class, only a lot cheaper.

I partied in a Bank Vault on Saturday night and spent yesterday recovering. Today is consisting of some long-needed catching up, and making a yummy comfort food dinner: beer bread (SO YUMMY!), barbecue pulled pork potato skins, and homemade macaroni and cheese. Incredibly unhealthy, but oh so tasty.

depression's more easily blogged, and i feel better already

Why is it that misery only seems to breed further misery? It's like a test to see just how optimistic I can be. Not everything is ruined, but perhaps I just jinxed that. This semester hasn't been what I wanted it to be. I've yet to learn Italian or get past chapter 2 in my novel. Hell, I can't even remember how to translate Latin and I'm supposed to be working on an independent study with the subject.

They keep calling me into work. It's interesting that I'm starting to feel emotionally unstable from too many shifts spent alone in the wee hours of the night with emotionally and behaviorly challenged children. How can I be the role model when I'm drowning? "It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world." -The Kinks

Obsessions with Dexter and weekly viewings of tragically young deaths on CSI have pushed me to contemplate the possibilities of my own tragic death. I say tragic because that's how I want it to seem, but does it actually qualify if it's planned? I think perhaps the tragedy will be in my youth, but the death itself, my pallid corpse, will be art. Everything is irony. My 83 year old nana is dying, and yet I want her to never die, even though I know she's so miserably alone. And me, I'm not yet 22, and I'm planning my death. I guess I'm a selfish person.

Thinking about death forces a pondering of self-worth. Should I be worrying about my contribution to the world, or simply pleasuring myself with everything it has to offer me? What really makes my existance worthwhile? There are things I'd like to do. Some of it is risky, but if I know I only have 10 years left, if I keep that in the back of my mind always, I'm more likely to pursue my desires. For instance, I want to go to Italy again. If I know I'm going to die soon, then there's no reason for me to attempt a time-consuming career. I can just pack my bags and go at anytime. Survival will be an experiment. I like this idea. This "no-bars" method of living. I can't regret anything. Everything I do is just another experience to add to my collection. I'm being optimistic already. My disappointing thoughts touched on above don't need to be feelings of failure. They were experiences. They might be over, but at least I had them. There's always something new to try. And something good to try again.

Biscotti Dreams

The beat drives you...each syllable pressing onward...hips sway hypnotically from side to side. It's always driving me. Each breath--pushing.

My lovely love...I wish to taste you again, to feel you pulsing through my veins, to feel you drive me.I'm addicted to feeling. I'm addicted to being alive.

Tonight I find myself reconnecting, confessing, researching. Homemade hot chocolate and Hot Fuzz. We spoke of hookups and career paths. I'm still undecided. How can someone decide the path they want to pursue for life? It seems an impossibly daunting task. I don't think I could ever just be one thing forever. I crave variety. Monotony is numbing. If ever I find myself routinely robotic for extended periods of time, Death shall call my name.

Today I dreamt of violins and Botticelli and sleeping in a casket. I find myself attracted to the idea of sipping coffee in an edgy cafe, dressed in black and pearls. I like the idea of them, the sugar couple. I like the idea of discussing a concerto while biting into biscotti. I like the way they laugh in my head...my little fantasy of sophistaced elegance--of being their little princess, blossoming into a goddess. I have high hopes. I always have.

I need to stab Procrastination in the heart. I'm locked out of Unit 1. Hmmm...is that the sound of my GPA falling?
